I hate reflux. Especially if I have it. Now if we are talking about reflux in babies, that’s a different frustration. Parents don’t want to see their baby uncomfortable, and reflux can definitely cause discomfort for new babies.
I talk with parents about reflux ALL. THE. TIME. It is so common. What makes the difference is how babies react to their reflux. Some babies will just spit up. Some will cry. Some babies will be completely miserable, and some will be fine. Usually, parents are more upset than the baby is. So what to do?
The first thing to do is become educated about it. Find alternate ways to keep your baby comfortable, and remind yourself that this very normal part of infancy is something that they grow out of. The next thing to do is listen to the Badass Breastfeeding Podcast this week, and get all the tips and tricks you will need to help you ~and your baby~ stay happy.
